Jury selection is underway in B.C. Supreme Court in Vancouver for the trial of an Oak Bay man charged with murdering his two young daughters on Christmas Day 2017.

Andrew Berry is charged with two counts of second-degree murder in the deaths of six-year-old Chloe and four-year-old Aubrey whose bodies were found in his Beach Drive apartment.

Berry has pleaded not guilty to the crime.

The trial has been moved to Vancouver because of publicity surrounding the deaths of the girls.

However, in February, Justice Miriam Gropper ordered that the trial be broadcast by video to a supervised courtroom at the Victoria Courthouse if technically feasible.
