Victoria police seized a replica firearm and a cache of stolen jewelry Thursday after a vehicle stop, and now the department wants to reunite the jewelry with its rightful owner.

An officer stopped the vehicle of a man known for property crimes on Thursday afternoon. Police found a large amount of stolen property, including a replica firearm, new shoes, sunglasses, power tools, purses, and jewelry.

Charges have not yet been laid and the file remains under investigation, said Victoria police spokesman Const. Cam MacIntyre.

Anyone who recognizes the jewelry or has information about the stolen items is asked to call the Victoria police non-emergency line at 250-995-7654 and press 1 to speak with the report desk.
