Three people, including one with injuries, were plucked from Mount Arrowsmith Sunday by a Cormorant helicopter.

The Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre was called to assist Arrowsmith Search and Rescue with an injured person.

The Cormorant and a Buffalo aircraft were tasked to the scene, with the Buffalo using flares to illuminate the area since evening had set in.

That allowed the Cormorant to hoist the three people aboard. They were transported to Comox, along with search-and-rescue technicians, in two trips.

Details of the person’s injuries were not available.
