Idling car takes off down Saanich street

A car left idling and unattended Thursday morning as the engine was warming up ended up taking an unexpected ride. The driver returned to find the car was gone. It had rolled over 100 metres down the street and collided with a pole.

Saanich police remind motorists to turn their wheels to the curb or shoulder when parked, and that idling is limited to three minutes in the capital region.
