Victoria couple Andrea and Cameron Murdoch died when their boat capsized during a guided trip on the Bella Coola River on Aug. 10. Cameron’s body was recovered downstream of Walker Island. The bodies of Andrea and the fishing guide were not found.

The Murdochs had travelled to Bella Coola to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary. They hired a boat for a four-hour fishing trip. The boat was last seen at the confluence of the Salloompt and Bella Coola rivers, where they had stopped to fish. It was later spotted adrift without occupants near Walker Island.
