Nearly 300 doctors graduate in B.C. each year, but few choose family practice, according to Doctors of B.C.

Dr. Daniel Archie Buie of Victoria has been suspended from practice for two months and given a formal reprimand by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of B.C.

The college’s inquiry committee criticized Buie’s failure to comply with conditions that had been imposed on his practice. Buie acknowledged that he had breached conditions that include having signs conspicuously posted stating that a chaperone be present for complete physical examinations.
