Ferry cancellations starting Tuesday between Nanaimo and Tsawwassen

B.C. Ferries is cancelling eight sailings a day between Nanaimo and Vancouver this week due to mechanical issues with the Queen of New Westminster. The corporation said the vessel is experiencing a problem with a controllable pitch propeller.

B.C. Ferries is cancelling eight sailings a day between Nanaimo and Vancouver this week due to mechanical issues with the Queen of New Westminster. The corporation said the vessel is experiencing a problem with a controllable pitch propeller.

The following sailings between Duke Point and Tsawwassen have been cancelled from Tuesday, April 6, to Friday, April 9:

• Departing Tsawwassen: 5:15 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 3:15 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.

• Departing Duke Point: 7:45 a.m., 12:45 p.m., 5:45 p.m. and 10:45 p.m.

B.C. Ferries said it would be contacting customers with reservations on the cancelled sailings.

The Coastal Celebration will remain in operation on the route.
