Victoria’s Emma Entzminger provided the key hit, a two-run single to the outfield, in the 3-2 victory over Mexico this week in Tokyo that won for Canada the Olympic bronze medal in women’s softball. It was Canada’s first-ever medal in softball and only the fifth for Canada since 1936 in a team sport in the Summer Olympics.
