Education rally, picnic set for Sunday at Beacon Hill Park

A provincial day of action over what critics consider the underfunding of education will be marked in Victoria with a rally and picnic in Beacon Hill Park.

A provincial day of action over what critics consider the underfunding of education will be marked in Victoria with a rally and picnic in Beacon Hill Park.

The events are being held Sunday under the banner of Families Against Cuts to Education, or FACE.

Participants are invited to meet in the main playground area of Beacon Hill Park at 12:30 p.m. for a news conference and family-friendly events. Participants are encouraged to bring food and utensils for a picnic, as well.

Scheduled speakers include parents, teachers and school trustees.
