One person was trapped in a vehicle after a rollover crash in View Royal early Tuesday morning.
Around 1 a.m., someone reported that a car driving at high speed had lost control and flipped into the brush in the 300-block of Island Highway, across from the View Royal Fire hall, said Fire Chief Paul Hurst.
Firefighters and B.C. Ambulance paramedics found the driver trapped, with the vehicle on its side and unstable.
It took about 20 minutes to extricate the driver, Hurst said.
The driver was taken to Victoria General Hospital with undetermined injuries.
West Shore RCMP is investigating the cause of the crash.
