Driver, 27, charged after crashing into power pole on Malahat

The 27-year-old driver of a commercial vehicle that went off the Malahat and into a power pole on Monday has been charged with having no insurance and driving without due care and attention. He was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The 27-year-old driver of a commercial vehicle that went off the Malahat and into a power pole on Monday has been charged with having no insurance and driving without due care and attention.

He was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

West Shore RCMP and officers from Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement investigated the incident, which happened near Aspen Road.

There were significant delays Monday as B.C. Hydro crews made repairs.

The vehicle was removed Tuesday.
