West Shore RCMP are asking the public’s help in identifying a man who allegedly glued the locks of a COVID-19 vaccination clinic.

The clinic at 174-2945 Jacklin Rd. in Langford was not open at the time of the incident. Police were called by staff Sept. 29.

“While we understand that not everyone share the same beliefs during this pandemic, this act of mischief is a criminal offence and will be treated as such,” said Const. Alex Bérubé of the West Shore RCMP.

The glued locks rendered the door inoperable and entry impossible, police said.

Investigators were able to obtain video surveillance and are looking to identify the suspect.

The man is described as white and in his 50s, five-foot-eight with a medium build and a mustache.

He was wearing a beige Tilley hat, glasses, blue plaid shirt and blue jeans with black and white shoes, along with a black poncho that was yellow on the inside.

Police ask anyone with information about the incident to contact West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264.
