A washout on the Highway 1A cut-off to Crofton has closed that road in both directions at the intersection with the Trans-Canada Highway north of Duncan.

The provincial government's road conditions website says Crofton traffic should use Herd Road instead.

The flooded roadway is near the junction of the Trans-Canada Highway and Russell Farms Market on Mt. Sicker Road, in North Cowichan. Traffic on the Trans-Canada has not been affected.

Mainroad South Island Contracting also reports that Cowichan Bay Road is closed due to flooding between the Trans-Canada Highway and Tzouhalem Road. Bench Road is being used as an alternate route.
