A two-vehicle crash shut down Highway 4 between Port Alberni and Cathedral Grove for one hour Monday afternoon.
Port Alberni Fire Department responded to the collision between a car and a truck around 1:30 p.m. The truck went down an embankment. The car suffered extensive damage. Only minor injuries were reported.
Drivers were told to expect delays while the highway reopened to single lane alternating traffic.
Further delays were expected Monday evening when crews were expected to pull the truck from the embankment.
