A child suffered no serious injuries Tuesday afternoon after being hit by a vehicle in the Chinatown section of Fisgard Street.

Victoria police responded about 12:35 p.m. after the child darted out between two parked vehicles.

“The child’s parents literally apparently had lost sight of the child for an instant,” said police spokesman Bowen Osoko. “The driver of the vehicle actually got out immediately and offered aid.”

He said the child was in hospital a short time before being released to “very, very relieved parents.”
