Oceanside RCMP are considering charges in connection with a fatal crash in which a motorcyclist slammed into the side of a bus in Parksville.
The motorcyclist crashed into the side of a bus that was being moved and was blocking the entire road, said Island District RCMP spokeswoman Cpl. Tammy Douglas. The crash happened about 10:20 p.m. Monday on Smithers Road.
The 48-year-old driver of the motorcycle, a man from Parksville, died of his injuries at the scene.
“The file remains under investigation and charges are being considered,” Douglas said.
Police did not say who owns the bus or why it was being moved.
