Buses to Thetis Lake among summer transit changes

B.C. Transit is changing some routes through the summer, including service to Thetis Lake, a popular swimming spot. Service will be reduced at the University of Victoria, Camosun College and Royal Roads. B.C.

Starting June 23, B.C. Transit will add service to Sidney, Brentwood Bay and Swartz Bay and reduce service to the University of Victoria, Camosun College and Royal Roads University.

B.C. Transit is changing some routes through the summer, including service to Thetis Lake, a popular swimming spot.

Service will be reduced at the University of Victoria, Camosun College and Royal Roads.

B.C. Transit will add service to Sidney, Brentwood Bay and Swartz Bay.

The schedule changes take effect June 23.

From September to June, B.C. Transit sees 105,000 passenger trips a day. In July and August, that drops to about 85,000 each day.

Shuttle buses are being upgraded to regular buses on some routes to increase capacity.
