B.C. Ferries cancels some Wednesday night sailings after extreme wind warning

Some sailings on four B.C. Ferries routes were cancelled Wednesday evening after Environment Canada forecasted extreme wind conditions. The 7 p.m. Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen sailing was cancelled, along with the 9 p.m. return sailing from Tsawwassen.

The 7 p.m. Swartz Bay to Tsawwassen sailing was cancelled, along with the 9 p.m. return sailing from Tsawwassen.

The 9:15 p.m. Tsawwassen to Duke Point sailing was cancelled, as was the 12:15 a.m. return sailing.

Sailings between Brentwood Bay and Mill Bay were cancelled for the day, with the next sailing at 3 p.m. Thursday.

The 7:10 p.m. sailing from Comox and the 8:45 p.m. from Powell River were both cancelled.

The Quadra Island to Cortes Island route saw four sailings cancelled both ways.

B.C. Ferries customers who had made bookings for affected sailings will have their bookings cancelled and reservation fees refunded. Travel will revert to a standby basis.
