Dashcam captures footage of car flipping over Metro Vancouver overpass

Coquitlam RCMP are investigating a single-vehicle crash that sent a 74-year-old woman to hospital after her car flipped over on an overpass. The incident took place about 1 p.m. Monday and was captured on a dashcam and posted on Reddit by yetsyns996.

The incident took place about 1 p.m. Monday and was captured on a dashcam and posted on Reddit by yetsyns996.

Const. John Graham of the Coquitlam RCMP said the investigation is ongoing, but impaired driving is not suspected.

"It’s still under investigation to determine what the cause of collision was," Graham said. "There were a lot of witnesses, and a lot of people running toward the victim but no other vehicles or people were injured."

Coquitlam firefighters had to pry the woman out of her car. She was taken to Royal Columbian Hospital by ambulance and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
