TORONTO — Calgary's Team Scotiabank won its second title on the PWHPA's Dream Gap Tour with a 3-1 victory over Toronto's Team Sonnet Sunday in the Kipling Showcase final.

Iya Gavrilova, Samantha Cogan and Alex Poznikoff scored for Calgary.

Brittany Howard replied for Toronto.

Team Scotiabank also won the PWHPA Tim Hortons Showcase in Truro, N.S., in November – the first Dream Gap Tour showcase of the season.

Toronto was losing 2-0 Sunday when Howard cut the deficit with a power-play goal with 7:03 left in the third, cashing in a rebound off a 2-on-1 rush.

Poznikoff sealed it for Calgary by chipping a bouncing puck into the net with 53.2 seconds remaining on the clock.

Poznikoff, who had a pair of goals in Calgary’s 4-3 overtime win over Minnesota's Team Adidas in Saturday’s semifinal, finished atop the tour standings with seven points.

Team Scotiabank led 2-0 on Cogan’s power-play goal at 5:03 of the third by crashing the net and poking a loose puck behind the line.

Gavrilova opened the scoring 7:04 into the first period, capitalizing on missed coverage by Toronto to put Team Scotiabank ahead.

Montreal's Team Harvey's withdrew from the weekend event in Toronto as a precautionary measure due to COVID-19.
