Victoria police have issued a plea for information in the disappearance of Belinda Ann Cameron, who was last seen 14 years ago today.

The file is being investigated as a homicide. Police consider her disappearance suspicious and believe she met with foul play.

Cameron was 42 when she was last seen at the Esquimalt Shoppers Drug Mart on May 11, 2005. After she was reported missing on June 4, 2005, an investigation began and a series of searches was launched.

Her daughters are now adults and are trying to understand what happened. Police are committed to giving the family closure, and believe somebody can point them to answers.

Cameron is described as Indigenous and five-foot-eight. At the time of her disappearance, she weighed about 170 pounds with a medium to large build and brown eyes. She had long, dark brown hair parted in the middle.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Victoria police historical case review unit at 250-995-7390.
