Saanich police have responded to a three-vehicle crash that happened just before 8 a.m. today in the southbound lanes of the Trans-Canada Highway at Tillicum Road.
“It was a rear-end type collision,” said Const. Markus Anastasiades.
Anastasiades said an ambulance attended but he didn’t know whether anyone had been taken to hospital.
Traffic has been tied up in the area, and vehicles are being diverted down Tillicum Road until further notice. The 47, 48, 50, 53, 61 and 65 Downtown buses were on a detour but returned to their regular routes about 8:35 a.m. when one southbound lane was opened.
The highway was fully reopened about 9:15 a.m., Saanich police said.
