The District of Saanich is asking residents to take part in a survey about Cedar Hill Cross Road in an effort to improve transportation safety in the area.

The focus of the survey is to hear suggestions about how the municipality can make short-term improvements to the busy road while its works on finalizing funding for long-term improvements.

Staff will review the feedback and create a draft plan for the area by this fall.

Cedar Hill Cross Road sees almost 19,000 vehicle trips per day and is identified in the district’s Active Transportation Plan as a future cycling route.

The plan will build on safety enhancements already completed at the Blenkinsop and Braefoot intersections, and between Merriman Drive and Jennifer Road.
