Victoria police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant who is believed to be in the city.
Stephen Blackwater, 44, is wanted for suspension of his day parole. He is serving a sentence of over two years for counts that include possession of property obtained by crime, breaking-and-entering, theft over $5,000 and breach of a probation order.
He is described as Indigenous, five-foot-four and about 140 pounds with short dark hair and brown eyes.
Anyone who sees Blackwater is asked to call 911. Call Victoria police at 250-995-7654, extension 1, with information on his whereabouts or report anonymously to Greater Victoria Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
