The death of a man found inside a Ucluelet business is being investigated as suspicious by Ucluelet RCMP and the Vancouver Island Integrated Major Crime Unit.
Police were called Tuesday by someone who had made several attempts to contact the man. The person then entered the Peninsula Road business and found the body.
“This investigation is currently in the very early stages and we are still trying to determine the nature of the incident that caused this man’s death,” said Sgt. Chris Manseau, division media-relations officer for the B.C. RCMP.
The major-crime unit was called in as a precaution, police said.
The B.C. Coroners Service is conducting its own investigation.
