Thick smoke filled the air Friday afternoon as a vessel in a boathouse burned at Cedar Grove Marina in North Saanich.
Fire crews responded about 2 p.m., said North Saanich deputy chief Steve Knapp. “Basically, the boat in the boathouse has sunk and the boathouse is destroyed,” he said. Two people managed to push another boat away from the fire.
