HMCS Winnipeg set sail on Tuesday, bound for the Indo-Pacific region.
The Halifax-class frigate will be deployed to the region on Operation Projection until December.
While in the region, HMCS Winnipeg will take part in Operation Neon, a co-ordinated multinational effort to support the implementation of United Nations Security Council sanctions imposed against North Korea.
