Victoria police are seeking anyone with information or video footage related to damage to electrical panels at Royal Athletic Park.
City of Victoria staff reported Tuesday that the panels had been damaged between 10 p.m. on March 7 and 6 a.m. on March 8.
An estimated $5,000 in damage was done to wiring, junction boxes and breakers.
On top of the repair costs, this kind of damage causes significant electrical and fire risks, said police, who suspect the damage could have been done by someone trying to tap into the park’s power supply.
