The driver of a logging truck was airlifted to hospital in Victoria Wednesday after a rollover crash just south of Campbell River.

Campbell River Fire Chief Thomas Doherty said it happened about 11:15 a.m. on a forest service road.

The driver was the sole occupant and was pinned in the vehicle, Doherty said.

Fire crews used equipment to extricate him, he said.

Doherty said the man was conscious when he was taken to hospital.
