A 20-year-old Shawnigan Lake man is dead after crashing head-on into a tree early yesterday morning.
The man was driving south on Shawnigan Lake Road when he left the road and slammed into the tree. He was not wearing a seat belt. The driver's name is being withheld, pending notification of next of kin.
The accident is being investigated by the RCMP and the B.C. Coroners Service.
