A dog is missing after the Ford F250 he was in was stolen from a Langford job site between 1 and 6 a.m. Thursday, West Shore RCMP said.

There is a reward for the safe return of the three-month-old Pomeranian, called Nugget, who was reported to be in the truck’s camper when it was taken from the area of Jacklin Road and Goldstream Avenue.

The truck was found by Shawnigan Lake RCMP off Kapoor Main, but the dog was gone.

It appears the person responsible removed the camper and left with the truck, West Shore RCMP said.

“We just want our puppy,” the owner said in a Facebook message posted by Reuniting Owners with Animals Missing, or ROAM.

“We are not from the Island and we’re here for two weeks for work.

“He is missed terribly.”

Anyone who sees Nugget is asked to call ROAM at 778-977-6260 or 778-977-6265.
