Crash at Richardson and Cook sends cyclist to hospital

Call for help came in shortly before noon on Sunday.

A crash at the intersection of Cook Street and Richardson Street injured two and sent a cyclist to hospital on Sunday.

The Provincial Health Services Authority said that B.C. Emergency Health Services received a call shortly before noon about a traffic incident at the intersection and responded with two ambulances.

“Paramedics cared for two patients and transported one patient to the hospital,” said spokesperson Jenny Peng.

Photos of the aftermath show an injured cyclist lying on the ground surrounded by emergency responders and other people.

Police haven’t provided information yet on what happened.
