A fire early Tuesday caused significant damage to a house in Honeymoon Bay, near Lake Cowichan.
The home was empty at the time.
Lake Cowichan RCMP responded just after 3 a.m. along with crews from the Honeymoon Bay, Mesachie Lake, and Lake Cowichan fire departments.
The fire spread quickly, police said.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
