An older-model Chrysler went up in flames in front of Oak Bay library on Wednesday.
A couple pulled up in front of the library and a woman said she was checking on her boyfriend’s car, which smelled of gas, when it burst into flames, said Peter Gray.
The flames were significant, said Gray.
Oak Bay Fire Department doused the fire and Totem Towing took the burnt-out vehicle away.
