Cameron Gamble, the subject of a Canada-wide warrant on gun charges, has been arrested by members of the Greater Victoria Emergency Response Team.
Officers located and arrested Gamble at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022, five days after they issued an alert.
He was on foot in the area of Begbie Street and Gladstone Avenue in Fernwood. No one was injured during the arrest.
Gamble was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant after failing to return to a halfway house in Victoria. He is serving a federal sentence of more than two years for firearms-related offences. Gamble remains in custody.
