People looking to find solace by walking among the spring bulbs and flowering trees and shrubs at Butchart Gardens will have to wait at least a fortnight to do so as the attraction temporarily closed its gates to the public early Thursday.
A notice posted on its website apologized for having to take the action. It goes on to acknowledge visitors who have left messages of appreciation for providing them with a sanctuary of peace and beauty.
The company said that it will review its decision in 14 days.
