Victoria Mayor Dean Fortin should be afraid, very afraid. Or maybe not.

Depending on how many terms he aspires to, Fortin could face competition from a self-confident “vagician.”

That’s how Victoria native April Borgnetta, 30, is described in her bachelorette biography for The Bachelor Canada, the reality series kicking off its second season on City Sept. 18 at 8 p.m.

The body-waxing specialist is one of 25 Canadian contestants aged 25 to 42, including a lingerie model and ER doctor, vying for the affections of bachelor Tim Warmels, 28.

A self-confident soccer and badminton buff who describes her current status as “defying age, carefree and young at heart,” Borgnetta says she also has passion and talent for burlesque dancing.

At the top of the esthetician’s bucket list, however, is her desire to become mayor of her hometown.

“I’d welcome the opportunity to help her win the mayor’s chair … in 2018,” Fortin said. “We want to have more women involved. I’d welcome the opportunity to tell her what she needs to do.”

The five-foot-five contestant with 10 tattoos is described as “electric, bubbly, outspoken and hilarious.” She listed tassel-twirling and somersaults among her special talents.

Borgnetta, whose burlesque moves will be featured during the series, couldn’t comment for confidentiality reasons.
