CFAX Santas Anonymous has, for more than 35 years, worked year-round to help Greater Victoria children in need,from the Largest Little Airshow in August to the Victoria Marathon team. The big event in December when 1,100 Christmas hampers are delivered to families in need and 3,500 children receive Christmas gifts from generous Victoria shoppers. You can join the team as a social media volunteer. If you are a Facebook and Twitter wizard, this could be the role for you. The social media volunteer will regularly post and tweet relevant content, including videos, pictures and text. The volunteer will also manage fan and follower interactions, track activity and measure success. Access to social media off-site is required. Please call 250-920-4644.

Fruit Pickers: LifeCycles Project Society is seeking people to help harvest about 36,000 pounds of apples, pears, cherries and more. Commitment is a few hours per week until the end of October.

Cashier: Craigdarroch Castle is looking for a friendly, outgoing cashier to welcome visitors, handle admissions and answer some questions. Familiarity with POS machines is an asset, though training is provided. Commitment is at least three months and many perks are offered. Call 250-592-5323.

Co-ordinator: The Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation seeks a sponsorship logistics co-ordinator to recruit and maintain relationships with local sponsors for the CIBC Run for the Cure, to be held Sept. 30. Commitment is short term and training will be provided. Call 250-384-3328.

Foot Care Person: James Bay Community Project is starting a foot care clinic for low-income seniors with diabetes. This position would be ideal for a retired nurse, LPN, podiatrist or footcare spa specialist. Clinic would be once per month for two or three hours. Call 250-388-7844. Graphic Designer: Canadian Diabetes Association needs a graphic designer to create posters for a variety of events, ad copy for print media, social media title pages, and more. Hours are flexible and depend on the event; most work can be done from home. Call 250-382-5454.
