Volunteering

Saanich Neighbourhood Place was established in 1993 as a non-judgmental place for families and individuals to go for support.

Saanich Neighbourhood Place was established in 1993 as a non-judgmental place for families and individuals to go for support. Recognizing the diverse nature and needs of the community, the organization strives to provide activities, services and programs able to support anyone who needs them. Programs include Ready to Rent B.C., which helps participants improve their chances of getting proper housing, and Best Babies, a prenatal nutrition program, among many others. Every year, Saanich Neighbourhood Place provides Christmas hampers to families in need. Currently, they seek a volunteer to co-ordinate donors and recipients, a task that involves organizing the donations, delivering the hampers, and other related tasks. The co-ordinator can start immediately with a few hours of work per week; the hours will increase up until the hampers are delivered. If you want to be a jolly volunteer Santa Claus this year, Saanich Neighbourhood Place wants to hear from you. Call 250-360-1148.
