Dogs and their men hit the fashion runway

They might not count as man's best fashion accessory, but they are lot more lovable.

They might not count as man's best fashion accessory, but they are lot more lovable.

Dogs, accompanied by their men, will be front and centre in a Victoria runway event on Wednesday called, in reverse order of importance, Man and his Dog Fashion Show.

The show is held at local men's wear store, Outlooks for Men, where it's been organized for the past four years.

Outlooks owner Dale Olsen said this year's show will feature 14 men and at least as many dogs walking down a fashion runway.

Three of the dogs will be adoptable. Last year, the five dogs available for adoption found homes within a week, Olsen said.

The event has always drawn rave reviews, Olsen said. Sometimes, he joked, people even took their eyes off the dogs long enough to buy clothes.

Man and his Dog Fashion Show is on Wednesday, 7: 30 p.m., at Outlooks for Men, 534 Yates St.

Tickets are $25 with all proceeds going to animal rescue. They can be purchased in advance at Outlooks or online at outlooksformen.com.
