The First Metropolitan United Church is hosting an ecumenical service to mark the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women on Dec. 6.
The inter-faith service commemorates the 14 young women slain and 10 others injured at a mass shooting at L’École Polytechnique in Montreal on Dec. 6, 1989, and raises awareness of violence against women.
Those unable to attend in person can watch the service live on the First Metropolitan website.
The service begins at 5 p.m. Dec. 6 at First Metropolitan United Church, 932 Balmoral Rd. (at Quadra Street).
