People are invited to load up their vehicles with non-perishable food to join a convoy that will snake through Victoria on Saturday, collecting food and donations for the Mustard Seed food bank.
The Convoy of Awesome is a food and fundraising drive that involves schools, businesses, churches, organizations and individuals. The convoy is part of the Hero Work organization’s “extreme makeover” of the Mustard Seed building.

The convoy will be filmed as part of a documentary — to be aired June 18 on CHEK — that follows a restaurant team as it raises community interest to complete a one-week makeover of the Mustard Seed’s 5,000-square-foot home at 625 Queens Ave.
Participants in the convoy must sign a film waiver.
The convoy starts at 10 a.m. from parking lot 10 at the University of Victoria. It stops at three locations before arriving at the parking lot at Canteen and Esquimalt roads about 10:30 a.m. There will be a concert before the truck departs for the food bank.
