You can buy this house with 4 cabins for less than the price of a 2-bedroom Vancouver condo

Okanagan property ready to be turned into Airbnb hot spot

2,568 sq ft home and four cabins in the Okanagan

An interesting piece of property located between Princeton and Summerland has hit the market, and it might be the perfect opportunity for someone looking to sell their condo and leave the city life behind.

Located just over four hours from downtown Vancouver, the two-acre property has a 2,568 sq ft home on it, as well as four smaller guest cabins that are ready to be rented out. The lot is zoned as Commercial Tourism, so there's more that could be done with it should the new owner choose to expand the operation.

The main house has an open floor plan, was built in 2005 and was recently renovated. The listing notes that the cabins are an "awesome opportunity for rental income," and that the listing agent can supply a proforma showing what type of revenue the owner-operator might expect to make. Vancouver Is Awesome reached out to the listing agent but was not supplied with this information.

One downside is that the property, while located just off a somewhat-main artery (Princeton-Summerland Road) in the Okanagan, is in a pretty far flung locale. Most people traveling to Summerland from the Lower Mainland would take the Coquihalla connector instead, making this more of a destination property.

It's being listed for $695,000 - roughly $100,000 less than the lowest priced 2-bedroom condo in downtown Vancouver right now.
