Our bookless fundraising drive for literacy has reached $69,000, with $39,000 of that coming from community organizations and individuals just like you.

We had planned to close the drive today, with $70,000 in sight, but we have been hearing rumours that some more donations are on their way – so we have decided to keep the fund going for another few days.

The fund has been organized by the Times Colonist Literacy Society, which had to get creative with its fundraising after the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of what would have been our 23rd book drive and sale.

We are eager to see the book sale return next year – but in the meantime, literacy organizations and school libraries still need help, and we are determined to give it to them.

With your help, that is.

The more we raise, the more the fund will get from Decoda Literacy Solutions, which distributes money from the provincial government. And that means more money for literacy work on Vancouver Island.

There is still time to give. Thanks for your support!
