The 32nd Times Colonist 10K will be staged virtually April 16-25. Registration began in January. There is also a 5K race and 1.5K kids’ race.
Participants will post their times online during the race period this month.
Race bibs, medals, energy bars and event T-shirts are part of the race package along with extras such as finish-line tape.
The last in-person Times Colonist 10K had just over 9,700 runners and walkers take part in 2019. About 7,000 were registered before the 2020 race was cancelled.
Organizers said a realistic goal for the 2021 virtual race is 3,000. More than 2,500 people have registered so far.
