Writer Maude Barlow will speak at her book launch Sunday in Victoria.
Barlow is the author of Blue Future: Protecting Water for People and the Planet Forever. The book is described as a powerful and timely look at the global water crisis.
Barlow is national chairwoman of the Council of Canadians. She is also co-founder of the Blue Planet Project, working internationally on behalf of the human right to have free access to water.
The event takes place 2 p.m. at the Burnside Gorge Community Centre, 471 Cecelia Rd. Copies of Blue Future will be available for purchase and signing.
