Victoria Symphony opens its 2022-23 season this weekend

Music from Franz Shubert, Johannes Brahms and Igor Stravinsky is on the program Sunday for the Victoria Symphony’s 2022-23 season opener.

Music director Christian Kluxen will lead the orchestra during the Royal Theatre performance, while acclaimed violinist Terence Tam, concertmaster of the Victoria Symphony, is the featured soloist. Showtime is 2 p.m. Tickets are $29-$98 from the Royal Theatre (250-386-6121) or rmts.bc.ca.

The Victoria Symphony’s season continues Sept. 25 with Tania Miller: Science & Symphony, and wraps May 13 with Mozart Requiem.
