The upcoming Victoria Ska and Reggae Festival is returning from a two-year hiatus with a line-up heavy on reggae royalty.

The 23rd annual festival, which is set for June 22–26 at various venues, will be headlined by The Wailers, whose lineage includes members that were Bob Marley’s backing band for the majority of his career. Other top acts appearing at the festival include Jamaican dancehall legend King Yellowman, Jo Mersa Marley — the grandson of Bob Marley — Bedouin Soundclash, Too Many Zooz, Five Alarm Funk, and New Zealand reggae favourites Katchafire, among others.

Tickets go on sale through ticketweb.ca at 10 a.m. on Friday. They are also available in person at Vinyl Envy and Destination Greater Victoria’s tourist booth. Other point-of-sale locations include Fascinating Rhythm (Nanaimo), Bop City Records (Courtenay), and Red Cat Records (Vancouver).
