Folk favourite Valdy will return to the stage for four performances in August at Sidney’s Mary Winspear Centre.
The Salt Spring Island singer-songwriter will perform Aug. 15-18 at the Charlie White Theatre with social-distancing measures in place.
A maximum of 50 tickets are being sold for each event, which will feature a lowered stage to provide a more intimate concert experience. Hand sanitizer and facemasks (which are not mandatory) will be provided, and a contactless concession will be available.
Patrons will be situated with an empty seat on either side in order to meet provincial health guidelines.
The concert is part of a four-concert series at the 315-seat venue.
Other performers in the series include country star Aaron Pritchett (July 16-19) and Cuban singer-songwriter Alex Cuba (Aug. 6-9).
