Final lineup announced for biggest-ever Rock the Shores in Colwood

Organizers of the upcoming Rock the Shores festival announced their final lineup additions today, setting the stage in the process for one of the biggest outdoor concerts events in Greater Victoria history.

Organizers of the upcoming Rock the Shores festival announced their final lineup additions today, setting the stage in the process for one of the biggest outdoor concerts events in Greater Victoria history.

British rockers The Cult, New Zealand synth-rockers the Naked and Famous, Vancouver pop quartet Mother Mother and Victoria stars-in-waiting the Roper Show will join upward of 20 others at the Colwood event, which is expected to attract more than 35,000 fans July 11-13 to the Juan de Fuca Rec Centre fields.

The festival will open with Friday night sets by Tom Cochrane and Red Rider, the Cult, the Tragically Hip’s Gord Downie, and Current Swell, among others. Its Saturday lineup will see Billy Talent, the Naked and Famous, 54-40, Sloan and others take the stage, followed by a Sunday night finale of Our Lady Peace, Mother Mother, the Wallflowers and Loverboy, and more.

Three-day passes ($129.50 for general admission; $279.50 for VIP) are on sale now through frontgatetickets.com, or in person at Juan De Fuca Recreation Centre (1767 Island Highway, 250-478-8384) and Lyle’s Place (770 Yates St., 250-382-8422).

Single-day tickets ($59.50 for general admission; $109.50 for VIP) go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through the same outlets.
